Brat Fest

Brat Fest is an extremely popular Madison event that is held annually over the Memorial Day weekend. Our next event will be held Memorial Day Weekend May 23th-25th, 2008 from 10am to 9pm and May 26th, 2007 from 10am to 6pm rain or shine on Willow Island, at the Alliant Energy Center.

The Fest has always been a community-based event with all of the proceeds going to benefit the Groups and Charities that help staff the event. Since the event started back in 1983, we have now raised over $572,019 to directly benefit the Groups that have helped work and staff the event over its 25 years history. 70+ organizations helped serve up the past Memorial Day weekend Brat Fest. Over 3,150 people donated over 10,387 hours, all in the sprit of community good will and to help raise money for their own group or charity.

Since Brat Fests inception, the event has sold 2,076,660 brats and continues to attract people from far and near and is truly a Madison favorite.

Last year we had one stage with 25 different performing groups. This year, with two stages, we will have over 50 different performing groups, sharing about 60-70 hours of free entertainment. Most of these performers are Madison or Wisconsin based. A few come from Chicago or Michigan.

It will be the largest free music festival in Dane County this year.
