Brat Fest is an extremely popular Madison event that is held annually over the Memorial Day weekend. Billed as the World's Largest Brat Fest, Brat Fest is also the largest music festival in Madison, and we run the stages.

Brat Fest will be held Memorial Day Weekend May 28-30th, 2010 from 10am to 9pm and May 31st, 2010 from 10am to 6pm on Willow Island, at the Alliant Energy Center.

The Fest has always been a community-based event with all of the proceeds going to benefit the Groups and Charities that help staff the event. Since the event started back in 1983, we have now raised almost $700,000, funds that directly benefit the groups that have helped work and staff the event over its 25 years history. 70+ organizations helped serve up the past Memorial Day weekend Brat Fest. About 4,000 people donated over 10,000 hours, all in the sprit of community good will and to help raise money for their own group or charity.

In 2009, we didn't just break the record, we shattered it. Record crowds. 80 hours of live music. A total of 208,752 brats were sold, well above the previous high, set in 2008 of 191,712. And next year will be bigger.

In 2008 we had one stage with 25 different performing groups. In 2009 we expanded to two stages, with over 50 different performing groups, sharing 80 hours of free entertainment. Most of these performers are within 3 hours of Madison, with the exceptions being Michelle Chenard (Upper Peninsula), Corrine Chapman (Nashville) and Damon Fowler (Florida).
