The D.R.U.M. program has moved to the new facility on 4716 Jenewein Drive beginning this fall. These new facilities have a designated band room with storage space for our instruments.
We will use the fall semester for 'technical adjustments'. This means getting the instruments cataloged, tuned and repaired. We are also looking to expand to a full drum line battery, with 5 snares, 4 toms and a few bass drums.
In spring time, we launch our second year of this program. Our educational stance will be to 1) teach notes, 2) work on standing sets, 3) work on marching sets and 4) improvise percussive pieces with popular songs.
Tentatively we plan to run this program once a week from 5:00-6:00PM, the day of the week to be determined.
If there is interest from individuals, 20 minute private sessions can be scheduled between 6:00-7:00PM.
If you or your child is interested in being a part of the D.R.U.M. program, contact the Boys & Girls Club of Dane County. You can do this by clicking on their logo on the right.
