Richland Rejuvenates is a joint effort of the Capital Wealth Advisory Group Foundation and the Madison Youth Performing Arts Foundation, designed to bring together business, community and city leaders for the “purpose of making our community the ‘Center of it all.’”

In January 2013, Richland Rejuvenates hosts the second annual ‘Making A Difference’ Awards Banquet.

FEEDING AMERICA-RC STYLE

In 2010 we hosted volunteer activities in November as part of the National Day of Service. In 2010 we collected 8,000Ibs. in the Richland Center Area.

In 2011 We set a target of 16,000Lbs of food and $10,000. ($10,000 will buy 58,823Ibs of food) We also added a group of 120 volunteers who canvased the community collecting food, delivering food to pantry and volunteering at the pantry. We ended the campaign and reported 18,255 Ibs of actual food collected and $ 11,270 which when translated equaled 84,167 Ibs or 42.4 tons of food. Following the close additional monies came in pushing the totals above $ 15,000.

In 2012 we wanted to challenge the partners to increase what we did over 2011 and set the goal to raise $20,000. All of the partners engaged in the program and enjoyed a new addition in a live radio pie auction. WRCO radio generously partnered to allow us six one hour slots where we were able to highlight the food pantry and its struggles with growing needs, We also were able to highlight the partners who they were, what they made, talk about their employees or associates. Then we had each day a different pie or pastry specialist from the area be our guest with two identical pies. One the partners and radio personalities got to taste and by their description open the air waves to the generosity of  the community and businesses and individuals alike rose to the opportunity and bid on the second pie with the top day raising $ 2410 for a pie. All six partners together raised $ 6865.00 over the six hours.

The final numbers are being tallied for the month and the results will be released soon for the entire campaign.

In 2013, we are planning the ‘Sound In The Round’ Krouskop Koncert Series.  More details will follow.
