Our Foundation is very pleased to announce that we have struck up an affiliation with MAMAs,Inc. This affiliation gives us another avenue to give back to the greater Madison community.

MAMAs, Inc. is organized and operates exclusively for charitable
or educational purposes, as defined in Section 501 (c)(3) of the
Internal Revenue Code.

Their mission is to maintain a vibrant organization committed to
the expansion of all forms of musical education in the Madison,
Wisconsin metro area.

In furtherance of this goal, they create and present the annual Madison Area Music Awards ceremony, with the purpose of (I) raising public awareness of the need to preserve and support the existence of music education in our public schools, (II) encourage and promote the advancement of young musicians and others in the Madison area by recognizing their musical achievements, (III) provide an opportunity for young musicians who are interested in pursuing careers in music to learn about the music industry, and (IV) provide a forum for young musicians and others in the Madison area to participate in live performances.

The goal of MAMA, Inc. in its 2006 campaign is to contribute $25,000 to the Madison Metropolitan School District to be earmarked for music programs.

Our Foundation sponsors joint fundraising programs with our affiliated groups, as well as fundraising strictly based on our own projects. This second type of fundraising, such as the silent auction at An Evening With on October 26, will have proceeds earmarked for the MAMAs 2006 campaign.
